This CD captures David Novak's Valentine's Day concert. Originally
developed for wine tastings in Santa Barbara, Chaste White &
Blush Red explores loves power to change us and bring us into
our humanity. In his eclectic fashion, Novak moves from Fairy
tale to ancient myth in a variety of styles. Sometimes cleverly
bawdy, sometimes classically eloquent, and always enchanting,
Novak explores the "red hot heart of the season."
In the end we are left with a paradox: "Until we know
ourselves, how can we know another? Yet until we knnow another,
how can we know ourselves?"
